This meeting is for ALL STUDENTS, and we look forward to seeing you there! We encourage you to become a member of the CSRT and continue participating in our monthly CSRT Student meetings to enjoy our “Meet the Expert Series” to gain valuable insights into our Radiologic industry. We look forward to future guest speakers covering various topics including but not limited to Professional Development Topics, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, DEXA, and Informatics. Our next meeting will be on April 24th, please feel free to contact us with any questions and any topics you would like to hear presentations about in future meetings.

Carl Normand RT(T)(R)(CT)(ARRT)

Carl Normand started his x-ray career in 1987 after graduating from the University of South Alabama. His first job was working in surgery on the evening shift and six months later, he was offered a job to cross train in CT & Nuclear Medicine and worked in both for 7 years. After 7 years, he decided to go to radiation therapy school. 

His background allowed him to work weekends and go to school during the week, which was hard but manageable. He has always tried his best to learn as much as possible and in addition to learning and keeping up with the newest technology within radiation therapy, enrolled in an online dosimetry program to continue his education. 

Fast forward 20 years, Normand has now moved from the treatment room to the board room. Last year, he started a company called DermaCureRT offering electronic brachytherapy services for the treatment of skin cancers in the dermatology setting.
