2023 Spring Summit Faculty

Kevin R. Clark, Ed.D., R.T.(R)(QM)(ARRT), FAEIRS, FASRT
Dr. Clark is an Associate Professor and Associate Director for the School of Health Professions at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He is also the Founder and CEO of CW Elite, LLC, a professional editing and consulting company. In addition, Dr. Clark is a top producer of research in the medical imaging and radiation therapy field, authoring more than 90 scholarly and peer-reviewed journal articles since 2014. In 2022, Dr. Clark was elevated to Fellow for the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, making him one of only 18 educators who hold dual fellowships with the ASRT and the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences. In addition, Dr. Clark enjoys playing the piano, watching the Houston Astros, and baking homemade southern buttermilk biscuits in his spare time.


Amber Edwards MS.Ed. R.T.(R)(CT)
Ms. Edwards is the Radiography Program Director at Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute in Hudson, North Carolina, where she has been since 2016. Prior to this, she was the Clinical Coordinator of Radiography at Kaskaskia College in Centralia, Illinois. She began teaching at Kaskaskia College in 2007. She began her Radiography education at Kaskaskia College and received her Bachelors of Science in Radiologic Sciences from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences. In 2012 she completed her Masters of Science Degree in Workforce Education from Southern Illinois University (Go Dawgs!).

She is an active member of the NCSRT and ASRT and is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the NCSRT and hopes to continue to do so in the future. She has been a member of the ASRT since 2005 and has participated in the Educator’s Institute and the Leadership Academy. She looks forward to remaining active in the Radiography profession and sharing her love for this profession!

Olive Peart, MS, RT (R)(M)
Ms. Peart is an established author, educator, and radiographer. She completed her Master of Science degree in education at the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and is currently the radiologic technology program director at Fortis College, Landover, MD. Peart has lectured nationally and internationally on mammography and radiologic-related topics and has worked as a mammography and radiologic technologist for over 30 years. In addition, she served as a site visitor with The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) for 7 years. 

Her published works have appeared in several radiology-related magazines and Radiologic Technology – The Journal of the American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT). In addition, Peart has authored several textbooks, including Mammography and Breast Imaging Prep, a comprehensive breast imaging textbook; Lange Q&A Mammography Examination, a mammography question, and answer review book; Radiographic Positioning Pocket Guide, a positioning and procedure reference guide; The Dangers of Medical Radiation, which ASRT Scanner reviewed; Spanish for Professionals in Radiology, an English to Spanish translation of often-used, technical terms and radiologic instructions; Mammography and Breast Imaging: Just the Facts; and Radiography Flashcards.

In 2004 she was awarded an ASRT foundation grant and worked as a volunteer with the RAD-AID Asha Jyoti: Women's Healthcare Mobile Outreach Programme in Chandigarh, India, where she was tasked with teaching mammographic anatomy, clinical skills, and quality control to technologists at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Center (PGIMER) in Chandigarh. In 2006 she was appointed Program Manager, RAD-AID India, and continued her volunteer work evaluating the project's sustainability and identifying areas of concern. She is now a volunteer Program Manager, Mammography Technologist with RAD-AID USA Women's Health Access Initiative. She also serves as treasurer of the Maryland Society of Radiologic Technologist.

Peart enjoys reading and writing in her spare time and has written several young adult and adult fiction and non-fiction books. 


Christopher Steelman, MS, R.T.(R)(CI)(ARRT), RCIS, FACVP
Mr. Steelman is an Assistant Professor and Program Director of the Cardiac Specialist program at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, USA. Chris is the chair of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists Cardiac-Interventional Chapter. He serves Cardiac Credentialing International on the Board of Advisors and is a Fellow of the Alliance of Cardiovascular Professionals. Chris is an internationally recognized speaker and contributor to numerous books and publications in several languages worldwide. He has addressed audiences in thirteen countries, most recently the ISRRT 2022 World Congress in Thailand and the 2022 International Conference for Cardiovascular Technologists in India, where he also received a Lifetime Achievement Award.


Megan Wedgeworth, MBA, RT(R)(CT) (ARRT)
Ms. Wedgeworth graduated from Northwestern State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences. She obtained her master's degree from Texas A&M-Texarkana in Business Administration in 2014. Ms. Wedgeworth has worked at our local Veteran's hospital for many years treating and serving our vets. She had the opportunity in 2020 to teach at the school that taught her everything she knew about Radiology, and she loved every minute of it.  

Ms. Wedgeworth is happily married and is a  mother of 2 children. She loves to serve at their church. She also enjoys hunting, farming (I love some fresh chicken eggs), and spending time in the pool with the kids.
