Meet James!

James is currently a student in the Pasadena City College Radiologic Technology Program.  He embarked on Radiology because he thinks the combination of cutting edge technology and patient care is incredibly interesting.  He says, “A professional career in radiologic technology opens the door to a wide range of opportunities in the various modalities. It is truly rewarding to provide a full day of patient care and quality images.  It’s a great experience.  I’m learning a lot, and I get to train and work with a great team of healthcare professionals.”

He currently lives with his wife in Glendale, California.  This city has a large Armenian community.  FUN FACT ALERT! Did you know, the actor Don Knott is from Glendale, California.  Also, they have a two great shopping districts, Americana and the Galleria, which have a lot of great restaurants and shops, Porto’s bakery for some freshly made baklava, or Foxy’s Restaurant for a great sit down meal!

James joined the CSRT because he wanted to stay involved in his future profession. He says, “It is important to stay involved and connected with our professional organizations.  It is vital to stay current within our scope of practice and to be aware of potential or pending changes.  Involvement in the CSRT allows us to do that.  The more members we have, the more we can influence positive changes within our industry, and protect our profession from encroachment by others who do not see the enormous value of having a trained and certified radiologic technologist.”
