Meet Daniel!

Daniel is currently a student in the radiology program at Cypress College and just started his radiology externship at Saddleback Memorial Hospital in Laguna Hills, CA. He dabbled in the medical field 25 years ago and decided to return to the medical field in order to fulfill a lifelong dream of helping patients on the road to healing.

Currently, Daniel lives in Newport Beach, CA. Fun fact: Newport Beach has an estimated permanent population of 86,738 but during the summer months, the population grows to more than 100,000 with 20,000 to 100,000 tourists daily. This is not surprising since Newport Beach is a city known for its amazing weather, beautiful views, and wonderful people.

Daniel is especially interested in CT and imaging in the cath lab and hopes to specialize in those modalities in the future. One of Daniel’s favorite patient care memories was about a particularly sick gentleman whom Daniel was charged with monitoring. Daniel recalls the gentleman constantly complaining and stating that at age 85, he felt so old. Eventually, when the physician came in and the patient continued to complain, “Doctor, I am an old man at 85 years old!" The doctor smiled and said "Young man, my eldest patient is 106 years young!" The 85 year old patient smiled and did not say another word.

Daniel joined the CSRT because he believes it is imperative to be a member of our professional organization, He feels that when we volunteer our time to the CSRT, it will help further many great causes. As a bonus, being a member of the CSRT as a student will look excellent on your resume. According to Daniel, “If you are serious about your professional radiology career, you must join the CSRT to springboard your career and give back to the profession that has been and will be great to us.”

The passion and dedication that Daniel has for radiology are what preserves the integrity of our profession. Join Daniel and be a part of the CRST community today!
