This meeting is for ALL STUDENTS, and we look forward to seeing you there! We encourage you to become a member of the CSRT and continue participating in our monthly CSRT Student meetings to enjoy our “Meet the Expert Series” to gain valuable insights into our Radiologic industry. We look forward to future guest speakers covering various topics including but not limited to Professional Development Topics, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, DEXA, and Informatics. SPEAKER:

Daniel DeMaio, MEd, RT(R)(CT)

Daniel N. DeMaio has been an educator in medical imaging for more than 30 years. He is currently an Associate Professor and the Director of the Radiologic Technology Program at the University of Hartford in Connecticut. His area of clinical specialty is computed tomography (CT). He has lectured nationally on radiation safety issues and on the physics and instrumentation of CT imaging. Dan is the author of “Mosby’s Exam Review for Computed Tomography,” a leading resource for technologists preparing for the ARRT exam in CT, now in its third edition. Dan is active in our profession at both the state and national levels.  He previously served two terms as President of the Connecticut Society of Radiologic Technologists.  He has also served the ASRT in multiple roles, including Chair of the Practice Standards Council, the Bylaws Committee and the Commission.  He is currently a member of the ASRT Board of Directors, serving as Speaker of the House of Delegates.
