GIVING THANKS...

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire CSRT Board of Directors for all the hard work throughout the year and culminating in another successful annual conference held recently in Palm Springs. Putting their trust and faith in me to lead our members for another year of challenge and growth, I extend my gratitude for the opportunity.

I have a few goals for CSRT this year, but my priority is to maintain an open channel for communication between the Board of Directors and the membership. We have an excellent, well maintained website to access any necessary information and I encourage you to take full advantage of this benefit. The Quartley Technigram is also a very good source of information.

ASRT is a parent organization of which CSRT is a state affiliate. At the annual conference in Dallas held in June, the House of Delegates voted to adopt a newly amended Bylaws which required CSRT to also revise and amend our Bylaws, a function that is recommend every 4 years. Bylaws are rules adopted and maintained by a corporation to define and direct its internal structure and management. They are best used to detail how the organization is formed and how it is run. Over the last couple of months, The CSRT Bylaws have been revised and amended to parallel those of ASRT.This is in order to maintain an active status and remain in good standing. These Bylaws will be sent to ASRT for approval and posted on the CSRT website January 2005.

I encourage all of you to log on to the CSRT website and strive to make CSRT your professional organization in California.

The long, hot, lazy days of summer are over and the brisk, cool, short days of autumn and winter are fast approaching. The leaves are changing to a vibrant orange and gold color. And, although this is a very busy time of the year for everyone, try to find some time to give thanks to all and many .Early in November we honor and give thanks to our service personnel and military for our gift of freedom. Late in November our thanks are bestowed on our Pilgrims and our celebrations are with family. Christmas and the New Year fast approaches and again GIVE THANKS for all the wondrous gifts and blessings we receive all year long.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
